L&A
Caroline is an amazing realtor! As first time home buyers, we were pretty nervous, unfamiliar with the process, and also very very picky. For our first meeting, she took the time to explain the whole buying process and everything we could expect, which definitely helped us understand what we were getting into.
Throughout house hunting, Caroline was very communicative and always took the time to explain anything and everything we had questions about. While deep in the house hunting process, she sent us super helpful curated weekly emails that summarized the week, including new listings, upcoming open houses, recently closed homes to compare prices, and future listings to look out for, all with explanations on why they may be a good fit for us. She was incredibly helpful at open houses, identifying potential issues and potential value in different properties, and helping us narrow down our priorities. Caroline worked with us to figure out what we wanted by going to numerous showings with us, reflecting on pros and cons of each space, and weighing our many (sometimes contradictory) preferences. My husband and I had a long list of wants, each with our own priorities; Caroline was so patient with us and supportive of finding the perfect home that worked for us both.
Caroline has extensive San Francisco real estate knowledge, which helped put us at ease while house hunting in such a competitive market. She knew what to expect in this intimidating market and was able to guide us to stay competitive.
We ended up getting the first place we put an offer on, which would've never happened without Caroline! Once our offer was accepted, she continued to be in constant contact to ensure closing went through and we understood each next step (which there were many!).
Not only did Caroline support us throughout the house shopping process, she thoughtfully considered what we'd need after closing. This included multiple wonderful referrals for house work (we got a gorgeous but older home, so we know there will be work ahead!), coordinating the start of our floor refinishing with another awesome referral, and kindly gifting us a home warranty for the first year of ownership just in case anything unexpected comes up!
If you're looking for a realtor in SF, look no further then Caroline! You will be in such good hands throughout the entire house buying experience.
T&K
Caroline is an absolute credit to her profession. Knowledgeable, patient, honest, and empathetic with her clients -- she is the perfect person to have in your corner. My wife and I went through the ups and downs of trying to find a home in San Francisco, and we really couldn't have done it without her. She made us feel valued, she was constantly there for us, and she always knew the perfect advice and recommendation for us in any situation. Home buying can be a nerve-wracking experience, and I think it's to Caroline's credit that I felt confident the whole time. We were in good hands!
She has a great knowledge of the Bay Area at all price points, she has a great eye for processing information and does diligent research into the homes you look at, and she will always give you an honest answer. I cannot recommend her enough.
S&E
We couldn't have asked for a better realtor than Caroline. She was always available and responsive to our questions. As first-time homebuyers, this was particularly important, as we had a lot of questions! Her balance of professionalism and warmth made buying a place in the daunting San Francisco housing market a smoother process than we expected. She really knows San Francisco--its neighborhoods, the housing issues specific to the city, and the different types of housing--condos, TICs, etc. She was also fun to work with. I recommend her highly.
J&G
Caroline was extremely professional but also very personable in all of our interactions. She gave expert advice and guidance, which allowed us to get our house on the market in a very short period of time - before the holidays at the end of the year. Because we had bought a new home first, we were busy with the move there and she managed all of the details around the prep for the sale of the house. We ended up selling our house for the highest price we could have reasonably hoped for, one exactly in line with the upper range she quoted in our initial meeting. Working with Caroline kept the stress of selling as low as possible. We highly recommend her services and promise you'll be glad you chose to work with her!
K&M
Caroline guided my wife and I (new SF residents and first time home buyers) through the sometimes confusing, always competitive San Francisco market. Over a more than 6 month period, she took the time to get to know us, understand our needs, gently corrected our occasionally misguided assumptions or desires, was incredibly responsive to our endless questions and tirelessly worked closely with us as we viewed over 30 homes, trying the find "the one". We ended up purchasing a condo in Noe Valley after a long search process in a really tough market (Fall 2021). Caroline's process with her buyers is educational, detail oriented (she sends out communications weekly to guide how you're spending your search time), detailed overviews of disclosures (no matter how many!), and high touch (she attended any and all visits with us where we wanted her input). She goes above and beyond from a service perspective, from setting us up to connect with former clients who bought a house in a neighborhood we were considering but didn't know well, to arranging and taking meetings with handymen in our new house when we were out of town. Caroline also has deep knowledge of the San Francisco market, she is always out getting a pulse on how things are moving in the market (it is ALWAYS shifting) to providing advice on how much a home is actually worth, and back channeling with other agents. She has a high bar of integrity and is risk averse, which we appreciated as first time buyers because we had a very limited understanding of the risks. She advised every aspect of our decision (the biggest one we'd made so far!) from connecting us to financing, evaluating risk for every property, negotiation, to post sale updates. The level of comfort and trust I have in her as someone who we didn't personally know a year ago is staggering! We got there and I'm confident it was because of her help. She is someone that we will always feel comfortable going to for advice on real estate and I'm so thankful we found her.
E&R
Caroline helped us through two incredibly and unusually complicated transactions - one buying, one selling. She was able to help us navigate uncharted waters with expertise and professionalism. She goes above and beyond to make sure any buyer or seller has all the tools, context, and support they need to make it through these complex and stressful transactions. I simply wouldn't turn to anyone else!
Z&Y
4 years ago, we were looking for a house to buy in San Francisco and a friend of ours told me that they knew a realtor. But you know what, we don't (in general) like "realtors". But anyway we met with Caroline. Then we realized we didn't want a realtor but we did need a person (nice one), who was competent, and proficient in the business of real estate. Caroline worked as a buyer's agent for us, and helped us purchase a beautiful home in Noe Valley in a very competitive market (there were 3 other offers).
As our lifestyle progressed (into running Triathlons), we wanted to find a home where we could build an olympic size swimming pool, and also wanted a really nice home office with views. Since our requirements were very many and very particular, it took us over a year and half to find the right property, and my wife and I almost gave up. Caroline said "patience always pays off". Really? Sometimes it does, but not always. But now that we have our new dream house in Novato, I am starting to believe her statement.
What is the realtor's job? I don't have a exact answer for that but it really involves professionalism, empathy, local contacts and charm (Oh, speaking of charm, when we call contractors (painter, gardener, carpenter etc), it is sometime difficult to get a call back, but when she calls, somehow they come (on time)).
I'm not suggesting you set out to try Caroline's patience, but when our situation challenged our patience, she is the one who helped us.
